[BOX] Farm Contest Winners, Foe List Update

Hey Folks!

There's some Big changes going on that if you haven't kept up with the Update and Changes Sticky you should know about. But first, we have Prie here in the studio with us to tell us about some odd creatures they've been seeing around the park. Prie, what are these new creatures?

Thank you for having me Max.

We've manage to identify the new creatures as Foxmites and Rennet Hounds. While our first impression was that they where free loaders after the food we put out for our Kogo's; we've come to find they're quite useful around the park and farms.

The Foxmites while making a friendly and adorable pet are also an effective and natural form of pest control. One of these adorable little fluff balls can eat its weight in insects every week. Mira Williams now has a nest of them living in the garden of her Cafe. On the other hand Rennet Hounds are still a little bit of a mystery to us. Unlike the Foxmite, Rennet Hounds seems to enjoy seclusion over companionship of humanoids.

However regardless of their feelings towards us they're still attracted to the loose and nutrient rich soil of farms and gardens. We have not yet learned why, but the Rennet Hound will happily get comfy sleeping in the soil of your crops and the little shade they offer during the day. At night they often disappear or can sometimes be seen wandering around the farm. The Rennet Hounds have also brought to our attention some sort of fruit no local farmer has been able to identify. We are at this time unsure where the Rennet Hound finds it, but when it appears again in the morning they can be seen with a red fruit about the size of an apple. Often it will eat this fruit, which is the only food we've been able to observe it eat, but every now and then will share the fruit and allow the farm or garden owner to have it. This behavior however does not change that come sunrise the Rennet Hound will again want to be on its own.

Results

The Foxmite and Rennet Hound are not yet made and so not yet in the park or ready for the farm. Expect them sometime after May. Keep an eye on the Update and Changes Sticky for their release.

Voting was first based on user voting only. The Foxmite took first place however our farms have no insect hazard and the creature is too small to act in for the Husker in protecting the farm from Wolves or Deer. Because of this a second winner was chosen of half staff vote half user vote (The two scores are added to find a new average.) to get the Rennet Hound as second place and a useful pet on the farm. Foxmites will appear in Kogo Park but only as pets. The Rennet Hound will appear in Kogo Park as well as have a use on your farm.

All other placements were chosen with half user vote half staff vote.

Now onto the big updates. Most notably this week there has been an update to your Foe list! Now should you feel the need to foe someone, you will no longer have to see their Topics in the forum. Nor will they see yours. However if linked to your thread somehow they'll still see it so should they find their way to your topic they will not be able to post in it.

There have been other updates this week and over the past couple months over the time the thread has been opened. You should check it out!
