Which is better - American Dad or Family Guy?

I personally really hate American Dad and I don't find it at all funny, Family Guy ALL the way.

I don't understand how people can hate American Dad, but like Family Guy... they basically copied the show and changed the way the characters look...

Honestly, I find them both as stupid as the other.

They are both mind-numbingly boring and I can feel my brain-cells dying withing the first few minutes of the show, which I must say is not a feeling I enjoy at all.

This is, of course, just my opinion

Family Guy. American Dad isn't as funny as Family Guy, in my opinion anywho..

American Dad. Family Guy hasn't been funny in years, to be honest... it has its moments, OK, and I love Adam West but other than that, eh. Stewie used to be entertaining when he was a psychopath but I don't really like even him any more. I think the writing in American Dad is quite a bit better, I like the characters more and the jokes aren't random cut-away gags. Plus, Patrick Stewart.

My vote goes toward Family Guy. I can't stand American Dad mostly because it's got more random stuff in it. Plus you can't beat Brian or Stewie.

i love to watch both but if i had to pick one it will be American dad.

I used to be a big fan of family guy in the earlier seasons, but I find family guy recently to be very... idk.
I find myself enjoying american dad much more now.
I'm not a fan of the cleveland show either. I feel as though they should've left it at american dad.

I prefer Family Guy more.
It views issues of reality with a sense of humor. hmmm... not sure if that makes sense.

I can't really pick one, since they're kind of a similar humor to me. I see them more as one series with a different cast of characters. I understand that they're pretty different as far as plot goes, but it's never like, "Aww, American Dad? But I wanted to watch Family Guy instead! "

Definitely American Dad.

Family Guy just isn't... funny anymore. It's just really random. Too random. And not the good kind. It gets... annoying, sometimes. I don't even really find most the reruns funny anymore. Meanwhile, I can watch American Dad reruns and still be entertained xD

... And that is all I ever need.

Family Guy just doesn't do it for me anymore. I still like Stewie but that's honestly about it.

American Dad has far more subtle and visual jokes. Family Guy can really bother me sometimes - plus I really dislike all of the characters.
