Will Booty Boxes keep giving out doubloons & banners?

I hope this goes here, at least.
I don't really understand the announcement, so I'd just like some clarification.

Will they be able to be opened after oct 3rd, or is that just when they'll stop being distributed?
Edit: Freak tells me that Iscariot told him that they will be able to be opened.

And if we can open the boxes will they still be giving out doubloons and banners?

That's actually a very good question.
I unfortunately don't have the answer.

It would be nice to hold onto them for a few months
before opening or selling them.

taking up space in my inventory.

but the treasure 1 boxes & such were a tad different than
'booty boxes, clover, golden cube, comrade cube, charity giftbox, valentine box, christmas giftbox etc all of which like old capsules should still be open-able”

The treasure boxes were able to be opened.

Yeah, I'd rather an official answer on this if it's alright.
Nothing really has a stable set of rules here on Solia when it comes to items and the like.

i agree i would not want to open them all if i could of kept them closed and sold them but i also would not want to keep them closed to not be able to open them later
