Sexy, aren't they? ιnsριrαтισn: This is basically a remake of one of the roleplays I've posted on Solia a long time ago, but I've completely revamped everything about it. I suppose after joining a bunch of roleplays that take place in the past (somewhat) and some series-related ones, I finally developed a thirst for something a little more realistic; So here, I bring you a gory, action-filled, modern-day city roleplay! Some of these ideas were actually inspired from anime and manga, such as Switch and Durarara!! I guess this roleplay is a combination of both stories, with some of my ideas thrown in and shiz~ Anyway, I hope those of you who come across this thread will be interested enough to stay and join! Brace yourselves, mofos; This is probably going to be the best roleplay you've ever come across! mυsιc: "City"— Hollywood Undead Introduction---The 411---The Law---Crews---Citizens---Fake ID---News Station---Link In/Out---Reserved Last edited by Celaxy on Sun Jul 31, 2011 1:11 pm, edited 2 times in total.

![]() ![]() The city: Some may love it, and some may despise it. It is filled with a kaleidoscope of cultures. In just about any part of the city, one could experience what it would be like in a different country—taste food from France, Jamaica, China, and Cuba; and no one would even have to step foot outside of the city limits. There are loads of different shops for big spenders, a night club at every street corner for party animals, and concerts held everyday and night for music lovers. There is always something to do in a city that never sleeps. As fabulous as it sounds, there is always a downside to the city life. While one is partying away, the hidden darkness of the city never crosses the carefree mind. Drinking, drugs, rape, and murder—whether or not anyone knows, there is always something fishy going on in very dark corner of the city. Some delinquents are caught in the act while some manage to evade the cops. Hell, some even gets caught an somehow gets away with the crimes they committed. However, those that got away won't be safe for long. With a large city population and so little employees in the law enforcement, it is impossible to catch and arrest all of the delinquents that are running around and terrorizing the city. This issue had to effect some lives, right? Absolutely right. During the recent year, an organization rose from the shadows to become a city wonder. They had no name, but they are widely known as “Reapers” amongst the citizens of Vergrance City. Like Death, these “Reapers” stalk in the shadows until they unexpectedly show up at their victims' doorstep and kill them. However, rumor has it that they don't just murder anyone for the hell of it. Detectives have quickly come to the conclusion that these murder victims were criminal suspects that have been let off the hook. Whether it was discovered before or after the murder, it is also a proven fact that the people the Reapers have killed were, in fact, the perpetrators of their crimes. Despite that, the law considers the organization to be a bunch of pesky murderers, but they are considered heroes to many citizens. Not wanting to get into too much conflicted with the law enforcements, the Reapers do their best to keep a low profile. The neighbor could be a member of that group, or even the jolly store clerk! They could be hiding anywhere, which isn't very hard. This is the city after all! Despite the forced optimism and fake smiles, no one really knows what's going in another's mind—in another's world—or what their real day job is. With the city filled with a thousand lives, there are also thousands of secret stories. No one can be absolutely certain that they know a person. However, one thing's for sure: No one is ever bored in Vergrance City. Introduction---The 411---The Law---Crews---Citizens---Fake ID---News Station---Link In/Out---Reserved |

![]() ![]() ɢєnєrαʟ: God-modding, cybering, and Mary/Gary-sues are prohibited in this roleplay, just as it would be in every other roleplay. Must I elaborate on this? Most importantly, anything in the thread (characters, plots, graphics, etc) that does not belong to you does not leave this thread. Meaning, no stealing anyone's characters, work, and ideas. That just not cool, yo. Breaking this rule will result in an instant ban—no warning, no second chances, nothing. I do not tolerate RP theft. At all. cнαrαcтєrs: Everyone is human. The last thing I need in this place are a bunch of kawaii-desu nekomimis and usamimis. Of course, I'll make an exception if your character is an otaku or something—since they could only be wearing the animal ears as an accessory. I'm not going to put a limit to how many characters you have, but I will decline any additional characters if I feel that you can't handle any more. I do expect you to keep up with them, after all. You should also expect some of your characters to die in this rather violent roleplay, where characters target other characters. I'm not saying that they have to die; just expect the least expected. Things are more fun that way, aren't they? αcτιvιτч: I actually want posts. Please do not join and then waltz off. Whether it is in the OOC or IC thread, I would very much like to see some activity buzzing around. After all, the creator worked hard on organizing and planning this roleplay. It would be a shame if the thread died. I expect to see a post from you at least once every two days. I would also love it if you were active in the OOC. It lets me know that you're still alive. If you are going to be absent for a while, please let me know ahead of time so no one is stuck waiting on a reply for god knows how long. Oh! And let me tell you a little something: I'm generally lenient on the IC post rule if I see you active in the OOC. ʟιτєrαcч: This is a Literate-Advanced Literate roleplay. I expect everyone to write in third person, with a minimum of 400 words per RP post. Grammar and spelling mistakes should be kept to a bare minimum, and one-liners should be NON-EXISTENT. Be creative guys! If you have nothing post, maybe some random shit goes flying or something! There's no limit to what can happen in the city! ρσsтιnɢ: I like to see pretty posts. I don't want any ol' post with normal sized font. Size 85 for the font please; Lyrics, name, pictures, color. Please don't burn my eyes with bright colors though, and no super sized pictures. Also try to use a picture with nice quality. If you can't find any, I heard Zerochan has some pretty good ones. mιscєʟʟαnєσυs: I honestly don't care if your character beats the shit out of another character. I welcome drama, cussing, voilence, and—Hell, even racial discrimination into this roleplay. However, such things should not be in the OOC. Be nice to each other please. If you can't handle the content of this roleplay, then either grow up or click the back button on your browser. C'mon, it's not like you never hear the F-word in everyday life. ![]() ![]() тнє ғιᴠє-σн: Detectives, police officers, government agents—Just about any law enforcer falls into this category. Their role is to maintain peace among the public, and they also function to discourage crimes through high-visibility policing. Since the appearance of the Reapers (which they claim is a criminal organization), the Police Force have been on their guards more than ever. The cops often go undercover as they stay on the look out for both the Reaper members and average, everyday criminals. тнє rєαρєrs: They are praised as heroes, yet hunted down as criminals. Despite the latter, the Reapers do not plan on backing down on their jobs anytime soon. They made it their duty to handle the criminal activity that the city's law enforcements are too lazy to finish. To do this, however, they must commit acts against the law—which is why they are often regarded as criminals. Although they are known to kill, they actually mean no harm to the innocent. They are kind of like the secret police the works in favor of the citizens. How the small organization formed is as mysterious as the individual members themselves. However, it has been rumored that the head of the Reapers is rather scary and hostile toward his/her members, especially when it comes to failure. The boss was never known to kill any members though. тнє ᴅєʟιnǫυєnтs: Ah! Nothing can make a city any better when there are crime-obsessed maniacs running around! Drug dealers, murderers, high-class thieves—Believe it or not, these kinds of people actually make up a large chunk of the city's population. They are often hard to find and keep track of since there are so many of them. Although they have been able to escape the police countless times, criminals have been more cautious ever since the Reapers showed up. But why are delinquents being more careful just because a bunch of wannabe policemen appeared? That answer was simple. The Reapers are actually pretty good. ![]() ![]() Now, since I made you read all of that, I'm not gonna make you write your character's whole life story in their profiles. All of the information can be saved for whenever you feel like giving your character a flashblack during the roleplay... Or something. Profiles should be individually posted in the Testing Forum. When you are ready to show me your profile, post the link to it in the OOC thread with the required items that were mentioned in the post above. Here is what the profile should look like. Before making a profile, please reserve a spot by posting a 100x200 or 200x100 cropped image of your character in the OOC, along with your best roleplay sample. The dimensions of the image depend on which spot you're taking, so choose the one that suits the character's occupation. It would also be best to tell me which spot you're taking so I know where to place the reservation.

One of the drivers, Smith, was apparently drinking while driving and crashed into a tree after another car had rammed into him. Fortunately, no serious injuries have been reported; but the other man that started the car chase has not been found. The car used to chase Smith was apparently stolen temporarily as the owner of the car was at work during the entire car chase. The police are trying to narrow down the suspects as we speak. There was also a shooting downtown this morning. Twenty-five year old, Babara Wellington was with her fiance, twenty-nine year old Oliver Jones, when the couple was shot in front of JVGames. A head-shot instantly killed Jones while Wellington only suffered minor bullet wounds in her shoulder. The police are currently investing who and where the gunshots came from, but there are rumors going around about this entire crime scene being the work of the Reapers. The police have not confirmed this as they are still gathering witnesses and suspects. A car accident occurred just down the street of the shooting, and may or may not be linked to the murder of Oliver Jones. No serious injuries have been reported, but it seems the owner of the crushed motorbike suddenly disappeared. This accident was apparently a result of another car jacking as the police are trying to link all of this morning's chaos together. xxxxxxxDelilah SummersonxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFirefoxxxxAnother dreary, cold morning. The thought came to Delilah as she eased herself out of bed and stuck her feet on to the hardwood floor of her apartment, slapping the alarm clock off that buzzed on the nightstand. Even with the heater on, the floor still felt like ice, and she grimaced at the shock of cold on her previously warm feet. Her bed lay unmade as she began her morning routine of simultaneously brushing her teeth and picking through the laundry basket of folded clothes to find a work shirt that she wanted to wear for the day. Wednesday was... blue, right? Her brain was too foggy at this point to really think. It would be better after coffee. Her pants were cold as she tugged them on. That made her think a little more clearly. Enough to get the coffee running, at least. The thermos from yesterday sat on the counter in her too-small kitchen, still dirty with left over coffee and creamer, but it washed all the same, and was promptly re-used once it was clean again. The smell woke her up, as did the taste of hazelnut creamer on coffee, and she sided with her previous, sleepy thought of Wednesday being the day for a blue shirt, slipping it on. Not that it really mattered though. Since she was the only one working in the store until her shift was over, it wasn't like anyone would care what color her shirt was aside from the boss, who was taking a vacation to some warm, tropical place right now. How he did that on such a small salary, she didn't know, but she certainly envied him for it. Anything was better than this cold place. She snatched up her shoulder bag, her cellphone, her coffee, and walked out the door, locking it behind her. The breeze outside brought a cold, stale smell of the city with it as she exited the building she had called home for the last few years, walking down the steps to the concrete to mingle with the other people who walked to their jobs in the morning hours. Quietly, she slipped in to the flow of people, sipping on her coffee, hardly noticed by those she walked beside. This was one of the best things about her, she felt. She could literally be walking next to someone without them being the wiser about her presence. It had certainly saved her from a few close encounters in her secondary job. Then again, it had also cost her, in some aspects. She wasn't much of a social person, and because she was so quiet, she had heard and seen things that she neither wanted, nor needed to be a part of. That was one of the reasons for her having a second job in the first place, after all. Wrong place, wrong time, as was so common in this city. Her fingers fumbled with the key to the front of the store as she unlocked it, proceeding with the mundane job of opening, as usual. She always seemed to get stuck with the morning shift, and her lazy co-worker never seemed to want to take up some of the slack around here and change with her. If he did, it was by force. Lightly setting down her bag behind the counter, she flipped the sign on the front of the door to 'OPEN', then returned to the counter, reaching in to her bag and pulling out a book. Her fingers brushed up against the second bag inside of it, containing her second job's attire. "One day, I hope I won't have to do this sort of thing to afford an apartment," she muttered, the spine of her paperback making a creaking sound as she opened it up to her place mark. She seriously doubted that anyone would come in today. No one ever did, since no one really knew about this store. It was just a small, inconspicuous video store on the corner, and everyone else wanted to go to the larger, chain brands anyways, so she felt no remorse about reading on the job. Besides, the bell on the door would ring if someone did decide to come in. "Silence is exhilarating at first - as noise is - but there is a sweetness to silence outlasting exhilaration, akin to the sweetness of listening and the velvet of sleep." |
